Prep for expert interview

I am currently preparing my final questions for my expert interview tomorrow.  Although I am considering my questions, I believe it is important to keep things loose, questions will be answered and transformed, I may suddenly think of a question tomorrow that is relevant and have to shoe horn it into the conversation.

The thing is to keep the momentum of the conversation light and engaging.

In other news I found an interesting cable solutions company to speak to.

I also need to speak to buildings and estates at Ninewells as soon as possible.

  1. Interviewed cardiologist 'Chris'.

    Asked what had changed
    Become more computer based
Showed machinery as part of the interview.
Camera was a bit erratic - could have edited this down.
Discovered other issues (like time) which may affect cable management.

Have you looked at project by Peter Walters on medical connectors.

More use of 'open' questions would be good, however interviewee was able to talk and demonstrate in a relaxed way.

Misdiagnoses can result from electrodes being misplaced - rather than tangled cables.

Interviewed nurses in audio who had experienced cable issues. Longer cables may be a result of repairs being done. Untangling cables 'looks unprofessional'.

Colour coding works well and doesn't need changed.

Asked a lot of leading questions - need to try open things like 'tell me about a time you've used the ecg machine and it has been difficult'

Talk to major producers of the ecg machines as it is a straight forward product development questions. Have you surveyed all the companies who are producing ecg machines?

Get in touch with PR from company who is producing
